But unlike the other seven Robot Masters, Tomahawk Man was built purposely for the First Annual Robot Tournament, but however, he was reprogrammed by Mr. It doesn't make the same impact that a live community of varying ethnic backgrounds merging together does.In this headcanon, Tomahawk Man is a Robot Master who is designed with a Native North American warrior motif. That sort of thing is amazing and needs to happen more! But Mega Man just isn't a tasteful place for that sort of thing to happen. I love the idea of cultural meetings, where people dress their garb and then share their cultures foods. Having a robot that kinda looks like a native American just looks silly.
At least in other games, such as Fatal Fury or Street Fighter, the diversity fits in with the setting. Why the heck does Mega Man all of a sudden need a vague reference to ethnic cultures? Makes no sense. Other times, it feels forced, as is the case of Mega Man 6. I hate when it's forced into media, such as games or movies, though. I think ethnic diversity is wonderful when it occurs naturally.
MEGA MAN 6, TOMAHAWK MAN SERIES
They just were running out of ideas in a series that should have stopped at #5. It doesn't mean the developers were freaking philanthropists or something. Knight Man has nothing to do with European culture other than his imagery. It's totally meaningless and adds nothing to the game other than, "these robots look different from the ones in other games." Oh, they happen to be VERY loose references to different cultures. These robots were designed for a tournement. Its not being racist, its sharing, representing your culture.
In culturel meetings you bring you dress up in your cultural outfit and share your food with everyone and they do the same. Their clothes, weapons, foods, history EVERYTHING. Every culture has their own uniqueness to it. It means interesting robot masters that are unique to megaman 6. If you look at people and just see people or humans, then you are thinking with a clear mind. If you look at people and see different ethnicities, I think you're confused. Sorry if I came off as sounding strong, but it's something that I feel confuses people's minds. Can't we just take it for what it is, without wondering about whether it's culturally appropriate? It's a Japanese video game about a blue man that shoots things and can also run, jump and slide.
I never understood why people feel the need to bring up a topic about fictional media containing the appropriate amount of culture. We don't have to hold even the most remote lense up to Mega Man and Mega Man X for cultural appropriateness. Why do we care if Mega Man has cultural representation? By that standard, it's the most mysoginist series ever created, what with only 3 female characters ever in the whole series? Cossack's daughter, Roll, and Splash Woman? Did I miss any?

I have played bad games and this is not a bad one, its ok. I am a person who uses weapons in most megaman games (4 and 9 having my favs) but in this game with the exception of like 3 of them, I don't really care about any weapons. They are not cheap though so I can give them that. While there are unique and fun ones in the castle (some anyway), most of the robot masters have pogo sticks under their feet. And if you don't know what it is well, megaman can usually jump out of a slide like its nothing, in this game that slide needs to end.) The freaking slide lock (it was in 4 and 5 too but only while underwater in this game it happens everytime you slide. Culturelly invested robot masters and stages.
